This Privacy Policy describes how we collects, uses, and shares information when you use our courier tracking service (Woo Courier Tracking), which includes an Android application for couriers (the “App”) and a WordPress plugin for managing couriers and displaying their location on a map (the “Plugin”).

1. Information We Collect

When you use our Service, we collect the following types of information:

  • Location Information: The App collects your device’s location data in the background while you are logged in as a courier. The App send location information only to the server that you chose by settings. This data is used to track a courier real-time location and provide it to the Plugin for display on the map. We collect location data only when the App is actively running and you are logged in as a courier. The App will not collect your location when you are logged out or do not in delivering mode.
  • Personal Information: When you register as a courier, Plugin collect personal information such as your name, phone number, and potentially other identifying information you provide. This information is necessary to create and manage your courier account.
  • Order Information: The Plugin may collect information about orders, such as delivery address, customer name (if provided), and order status. This information is used to associate couriers with specific orders and track deliveries. We do not collect sensitive customer information like payment details.
  • Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access the App, including the device model, operating system, and unique device identifiers. This information is used for technical support and to improve the App’s performance.  
  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App and the Plugin, such as the features you use and the time you spend using the Service. This data is used to analyze usage patterns and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Service: Plugin use a courier location information to track a courier location and display it on the map within the Plugin. Plugin use a personal information to manage a courier account and communicate with Plugin about your deliveries. Order information is used to connect couriers with deliveries.
  • Improving the Service: We use usage data and device information to analyze how the Service is used and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Technical Support: We use device information and usage data to provide technical support and troubleshoot issues you may encounter.
  • Communication: Plugin may use your contact information to send you notifications related to your account or deliveries. We will not send marketing or promotional materials unless you explicitly opt-in.
  • Legal Compliance: We may use your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with the following third parties:

  • Clients using the Plugin: A courier location information is shared with clients who are using the Plugin to track the status of their orders. Only the location of the courier associated with the order will be visible.
  • Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us with providing the Service, such as hosting providers, data analytics providers, and customer support providers. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and only use it for the purposes we specify.  
  • Legal Authorities: We may disclose your information to legal authorities if required by law or legal process.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These measures include encryption, access controls, regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.  

5. Data Retention

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may also retain your information for a longer period if required by law or for other legitimate business purposes.  

6. Your Choices

You can control the collection of your location information by disabling location services in your device settings for the App. However, this will prevent the App from functioning as intended. You can also delete your courier account by contacting us. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal information from our active systems, although some data may be retained in backups for a reasonable period.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.  

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on woo-courier-tracking.restorro.com. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
